about

The insides are all rotten while we decorate the shell. We celebrate a slow, incessant fall off the wall to hell. So obsessed with bliss, a normalcy bias to myth. This is no coincidence.
Pull the blankets over your head and see who’s in the same bed. It’s been this way for years. It’s quite a good plan, I must admit, but I’m not ready to roll over and die just yet.
If I teach myself then I’m uneducated. If I love myself then you call me conceited. If I pray to myself then I’m sacrilegious. If I stay to myself then I must be depressed.
It seems like you just want me to be another pawn in the system where I can’t be me. No, I don’t want to, go in alone.
Making these promises worse are the blatant lies that hypnotize the public eye from business ties. We find comfort in conforming. The uniform they sell us fits.
If I believe in myself then you call me hopeful. And if I keep to myself then I’m anti-social. If I protect myself then you call me a savage. If I medicate myself you call it a habit.
It seems like you just want me to be another pawn in the system where I can’t be me. No, I don’t want to, go in alone.
Making these promises worse are the blatant lies that hypnotize the public eye from business ties. We find comfort in conforming. The uniform they sell us fits.
Finding the balance, the balance between the dreams and the schemes and the schemes that I dream. Finding the balance between the dreams I’ve seen enough to believe.
